1. How Attaché Case Inventory Manipulates Crate Loot Drops
Resident Evil 4 Remake runs a dynamic drop-table algorithm every time Leon shatters a yellow barrel or wooden crate. Crucially, the game checks what is currently inside your Attaché Case—not what is sitting on the ground. Before breaking five barrels at the end of a combat arena, temporarily empty your handgun magazine by reloading, or craft your loose Gunpowder into Shotgun/Rifle shells so your raw resource count reads zero; the barrels will heavily bias toward dropping high-value ammo and heals.
2. Perfect Knife Parries & Grab Escapes
Watch the bottom-right weapon HUD icon: when the circular Knife icon pulses bright white, tapping L1 / LB triggers a Perfect Parry. Unlike a standard parry, a Perfect Parry consumes 50% less knife durability, inflicts zero chip damage, and instantly staggers the Ganado into a melee prompt—even on Hardcore and Professional difficulty (where only Perfect Parries are allowed). Furthermore, crouching right as an unarmed Ganado lunges for a neck grab makes their hands whiff completely over Leon’s head.
3. Knee-Stagger Crowd I-Frames & Flash Grenade Plaga Instakills
When swarmed in tight village alleys, shooting a Ganado in the kneecap or shin requires fewer bullets to trigger a stagger state than headshots on high difficulty ranks. Sprinting up and executing the Roundhouse Kick grants Leon full invulnerability frames during the entire animation while knocking down every enemy in a 270-degree arc. If multiple enemies sprout Las Plagas tentacles simultaneously, toss a single Flash Grenade—the blinding flash vaporizes all exposed Plaga parasites instantly.
